I read a superbly written and thought-provoking post titled Inappropriate by Neonatal Doc about a child with holoprosencephaly. I was a bit surprised that there was no mention of whether the diagnosis was made prenatally. An antenatal ultrasonogram should have atleast raised a suspicion. The decision to terminate a pregnancy with a poor outcome would have been far easier than one about appropriate treatment after birth.
